Eric Cantona criticizes Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe

Manchester United legend Eric Cantona has criticized club co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, stating he would not have signed for the club in 1992 if Ratcliffe were in charge. The comments follow recent political remarks made by Ratcliffe regarding the United Kingdom.

In a recent interview, Ratcliffe described the UK as being “on the slide” and criticized politicians for not being “tough enough” to address immigration and benefits problems. Cantona responded to these views by highlighting the importance of immigration to the sport, noting that many of the world’s greatest football players come from different waves of immigration in countries like France and England.

Cantona has been a vocal critic of Ratcliffe and INEOS, previously accusing the group of “destroying” the club through economic-focused management, such as the layoff of approximately 400 staff members earlier this year.
