Nigeria head coach Eric Chelle has announced a 24-man squad for the upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying matches against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau. The squad features established stars including captain Wilfred Ndidi, Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Alex Iwobi, and Moses Simon.

New faces joining the senior team for the first time include defender Isaac James, striker George Ilenikhena, and forward Moses Usor. The defensive unit is bolstered by the return of Olaoluwa Aina and Benjamin Fredricks.

Selection concerns remain due to player fitness. Victor Osimhen has been sidelined by injury, and Tolu Arokodare has recently been dealing with a fever. The Super Eagles are scheduled to host Madagascar in Uyo on September 25 before traveling to face Guinea-Bissau on September 29.
