Eric Church names Mr. Misunderstood as his favorite album
Country music artist Eric Church has identified his 2015 surprise release, ‘Mr. Misunderstood’, as his favorite studio album. During a fishing trip for his series ‘Chasing 10’ with NFL legend Randy Moss, Church explained that the record holds deep personal significance because it captured an authentic period of his life as a young father.
The album featured the song ‘Three Year Old’, which reflected his life at the time his son was three years old. ‘Mr. Misunderstood’ was originally released as a surprise, with Church keeping the project secret from his record label and initially distributing copies to his ‘Church Choir’ fan club. The album eventually achieved Platinum status and won Album of the Year at the 2016 CMA Awards.
