Fran García replaces Alejandro Grimaldo in Spain squad

Alejandro Grimaldo of Atlético de Madrid has left the Spanish national team camp due to a muscle injury. The left-back experienced discomfort in his left thigh/quadriceps during a warm-up drill prior to Spain's Nations League match against Croatia.

To prevent further injury, medical staff advised Grimaldo to return to his club for recovery. Consequently, head coach Luis de la Fuente has called up Real Betis defender Fran García to replace him. García, who has not been part of the senior squad since October 2023, will join the team to prepare for the remaining international window fixtures against the Czech Republic and Croatia.
