Eric Morris shoots armadillo in Oklahoma State coach's yard

Oklahoma State head football coach Eric Morris revealed that he shot and killed an armadillo in his yard after the animal caused extensive damage to his lawn and flower beds.

During a meeting with reporters, Morris explained that he had been dealing with the animal for some time. Due to insomnia, he went outside at approximately 2:30 a.m. and encountered the armadillo, which he described as “crushing my yard” and “digging everything up.”

Morris noted that he sent a text message to his neighbors to apologize for the sound of the gunshot, adding that the action was legal as he resides in a rural area. Morris, who previously coached at North Texas, was hired to lead the Cowboys following the departure of Mike Gundy.
