Eric Raue placed on Dodgers injured list with elbow inflammation
The Los Angeles Dodgers have placed pitcher Eric Raue on the 15-day injured list due to left elbow inflammation. Raue, who previously played for the KIA Tigers in Korea, struggled in his last start against the St. Louis Cardinals, allowing seven runs in three innings.
To address the roster vacancy, the Dodgers are bringing back reliever Blake Treinen from the 60-day injured list. Treinen has been recovering from right elbow inflammation and recently completed multi-inning throwing sessions. Meanwhile, pitcher Will Klein has been moved to the 60-day injured list with right elbow discomfort, effectively ending his regular season.
The team faces ongoing rotation challenges as they manage injuries to key players. While the return of Roki Sasaki is anticipated, the status of Shohei Ohtani remains uncertain due to knee issues, leaving the team to consider options such as Emmet Sheehan or bullpen days to fill the gaps.
