Eric Schmidt lists megayacht Whisper for sale

Former Google CEO and billionaire Eric Schmidt has listed his 95-meter megayacht, Whisper, for sale at $172.5 million. The vessel was originally built by the German shipyard Lürssen in 2014 for Shahid Khan, owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars, under the name Kismet.

Schmidt purchased the yacht in 2023 for $161 million and completed a retrofit last year. The five-deck vessel features amenities including a master cabin with a fireplace, a spa with a cold plunge and steam room, a movie theater, and a swimming pool. It is designed to accommodate 12 guests and a 27-person crew.

While there is no official explanation for the sale, the listing comes amid a surging market for superyachts. The yacht is also available for charter at a rate of $1.4 million.
