Erice water quality tests show mostly compliant results amid ongoing turbidity concerns

Following weeks of reports regarding yellowish or turbid water, the ASP of Trapani has released results from 27 water samples taken in Erice. Of these, 26 samples were found to be compliant with current regulations, though some showed slight turbidity not visible to the naked eye. One sample, taken from a building on via Manzoni, showed a slight non-compliance, triggering standard verification and monitoring procedures.

Despite the largely positive microbiological results, local opposition members, including Vice President of the City Council Assunta Aiello, argue the issue is not resolved. They maintain that the visual discoloration reported by residents in areas such as Pizzolungo, via Polae, and Casa Santa raises ongoing concerns about the integrity of the water network and piping.

The municipal administration has commissioned an external laboratory to conduct additional analyses, with results expected this coming Monday. Furthermore, a technical meeting involving the ASP, ATI Idrico, and Siciliacque has been scheduled for Tuesday to address the situation.
