Ericsson and TSSC launch technology Centre of Excellence in Mumbai

Ericsson and the Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC) have inaugurated a Centre of Excellence (CoE) at Government ITI Govandi in Mumbai. The initiative is designed to provide underserved and aspiring youth with industry-relevant skills in next-generation technologies.

The training program focuses on 5G, the Internet of Things (IoT), telecom product line assembly, and handheld device repair. This curriculum aims to address the increasing demand for professionals capable of designing, deploying, and maintaining advanced technology infrastructure amid India’s rapid 5G rollout.

Approximately 300 students are expected to participate during the first year of the program. The CoE will utilize high-end skill laboratories and industry-approved curricula to enhance employability and facilitate job placements for its students.
