Erika Costa elected Miss Acre to represent state in national pageant
Erika Costa, a 29-year-old nursing technician and architecture student, has been crowned Miss Acre. She will represent the state at the Miss Brasil Festival Nacional da Beleza Integral, held in Gramado, Rio Grande do Sul.
Costa, who also works as a makeup artist and model, shared that her goal is to showcase the culture and beauty of the Amazon. Her personal journey includes overcoming significant hardships, having spent time in shelters during her youth and managing family challenges related to addiction.
Driven by her experiences, she founded the social project ‘Transformando Vidas’ (Transforming Lives) to assist others. She expressed that participating in the national pageant is a way to demonstrate how personal history and resilience can be used to transform one's life.
