Erika Ender to debut musical in Panama

Songwriter Erika Ender is set to premiere ‘Erika Ender: El Musical’ at Panama’s historic Teatro Nacional from November 16 to November 29. Written and directed by Benjamín Cohen, the production explores Ender’s professional career alongside deeply personal life experiences, including her two divorces and the loss of her uterus.

The musical features young performers from TalenPro, a youth platform founded by Ender, with proceeds benefiting her Fundación Puertas Abiertas. This comes as the foundation approaches its tenth anniversary in 2026.

Ender is widely recognized for co-writing the global hit ‘Despacito’ with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, a track named the No. 1 Hot Latin Song of the 21st century in 2025. Her recent professional activities include serving as Academy Director for the first U.S. season of Operación Triunfo Estados Unidos and contributing to upcoming musical projects.
