Erika Granados Aguilar to host political science seminar in Ushuaia

Dr. Erika Granados Aguilar, a political scientist from Mexico's Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), has completed a month-long research residency at the National University of Tierra del Fuego (UNTDF) in Ushuaia. Her research focused on the development of political science in southern Patagonia, the political representation of women in Tierra del Fuego, and citizen perceptions of political polarization.

To conclude her visit, Granados Aguilar will host a free public seminar titled ‘Political-electoral processes of the presidential second round in Latin America.’ The event is scheduled for Monday, August 31, at 2:00 PM at the UNTDF Libertador General José de San Martín Campus. The university noted that hosting international academics is part of a strategy to strengthen cooperation networks and establish the institution as an academic reference point in the southern part of the continent.
