Nikolas Ferreira faces legal orders over Vorcaro audio and fake document claims
The Regional Electoral Court of Minas Gerais (TRE-MG) has ordered ICL Notícias to remove several reports and social media posts within 24 hours. The court ruled that the outlet incorrectly transcribed an audio recording, claiming Federal Deputy Nikolas Ferreira called banker Daniel Vorcaro ‘lindão’ when he actually used the term ‘Dani’. The judge noted that the inaccurate term could impact the integrity of information during the election period.
Separately, Nikolas Ferreira is facing legal challenges from political opponents, including Erika Hilton, regarding the sharing of a document that the Federal Police confirmed was a fake report. Ferreira maintains he only republished the content and deleted it upon realizing it was fraudulent.
Additionally, Deputy André Janones issued a video retraction, admitting to sharing false information regarding Ferreira's relationship with Vorcaro. This follows claims that Vorcaro funded Ferreira's private jet flights during the 2022 campaign, a claim Ferreira has denied. Ferreira has also launched a video series targeting the business history of Fábio Luís Lula da Silva, known as Lulinha.
