Irene Carrizo appointed president of Petrominera Chubut

Irene Carrizo has assumed her role as the new president of Petrominera Chubut Sociedad del Estado, becoming the first woman to lead the provincial state-owned company since its establishment in 1989. The swearing-in ceremony took place in Comodoro Rivadavia following approval by the Chubut Legislature.

Chubut Governor Ignacio Torres attended the event, emphasizing the strategic importance of Petrominera in driving investment, sustaining production, and protecting jobs within the San Jorge Gulf Basin. Torres stated that the province's natural resources must be recognized for their true value to ensure benefits translate into improved infrastructure, employment, and living conditions for local citizens.
