Erja Lyytinen releases new single ‘Hard as Stone’

Finnish blues rock artist Erja Lyytinen has released ‘Hard as Stone’, the second single from her upcoming double live album, ‘Erja Lyytinen – 50th Birthday Live 2026’. The single, accompanied by a music video, features a more powerful reinterpretation of the track originally released on her 2019 album ‘Another World’. Lyytinen noted that she updated the song with harder chords and a more aggressive edge, utilizing a 1989 Kramer Nightswan guitar to achieve a tougher sound.

The live album captures a 90-minute performance recorded on March 21, 2026, at the House of Culture in Helsinki. The setlist includes various tracks from her discography, such as ‘Ball and Chain’, ‘Smell the Roses’, and ‘Cherry Overdrive’. The upcoming deluxe package, released by Tuohi Records on October 9, will be available in digital formats as well as CD, vinyl, and DVD.
