Erjian Mountain Trail in Chiayi promoted for Mid-Autumn holiday

The Chiayi County Cultural and Tourism Bureau is promoting the Erjian Mountain Trail in Meishan Township as a destination for travelers during the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival holiday. Located at an altitude of approximately 1,274 meters in Longyan Village, the trail offers views of tea plantations, mountains, and sea of clouds.

The trail is approximately 380 meters long and takes about 10 minutes to walk, earning it the nickname “Chiayi’s version of a friendly matcha mountain” due to its accessible difficulty and scenic views. Notable landmarks include the “Hulan Pavilion,” a resting spot situated within the tea gardens.

Visitors can continue to the summit to visit a local leisure tea garden that has been operating for 22 years. The garden serves regional mountain specialties, including bitter tea oil chicken, bamboo shoots, and various vegetable dishes, allowing hikers to dine while overlooking the mountain scenery.
