Erkan Dalyan visits Kargı to present Çorum TSO economic projects

Erkan Dalyan, a candidate for the Presidency of the Çorum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TSO), led a delegation to the Kargı district of Çorum to present economic development projects. The visit included meetings with various local business owners, cooperatives, and public officials, including Kargı Mayor Hamit Dereli.

Dalyan highlighted the significant economic potential of the region, particularly in forest products, textiles, paper, plastics, construction, and tourism. He noted that the forest and forest products economy in Kargı exceeds 1 billion TL in volume. Proposed strategies to expand this value include strengthening cooperatives, increasing mechanization, and implementing joint economic enterprise models.

Discussions with textile firms focused on securing 6th Region incentives to protect existing production and encourage new investments within the district. Additionally, the delegation discussed developing clusters for the paper industry involving Kargı, Çorum, and Sungurlu, as well as promoting e-commerce and e-export for the plastics sector.
