Erkut Çelebi discusses industrial and tourism development in Trabzon

Erkut Çelebi, President of the Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TTSO), held meetings with industry and tourism representatives in Araklı and Uzungöl to discuss regional economic development.

In Araklı, discussions focused on enhancing industrial infrastructure, specifically the development of the Araklı Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) to increase production capacity. Çelebi also emphasized the need to integrate industrial growth with tourism, agriculture, and fisheries, noting that the district holds significant potential for the broader region.

In Uzungöl, Çelebi met with tourism operators and local associations to address sector-specific challenges. Stakeholders raised concerns regarding zoning, transportation, natural gas access, waste management, and administrative structures. A primary goal discussed was extending the tourism season to 12 months to ensure year-round employment and more stable economic activity, rather than limiting operations to the summer months.
