Erlend Blikra wins second stage of Arctic Race of Norway

Erlend Blikra of Uno-X Mobility won the second stage of the Arctic Race of Norway in Andenes, marking his first professional victory on Norwegian soil. Following a strong lead-out from his team, Blikra secured the win in a mass sprint, finishing ahead of Ethan Vernon of the NSN Cycling Team.

Giovanni Lonardi of Team Polti VisitMalta maintained his overall lead after having won the first stage. While the second stage featured some climbs, the terrain remained suitable for sprinters, allowing a peloton of 107 riders to control the race after a breakaway of five riders was caught with six kilometers remaining.

As the race progresses, the upcoming stages are expected to feature consecutive uphill finishes, shifting the advantage toward climbing specialists. Uno-X Mobility currently sits in second place in the general classification, trailing Lonardi by four seconds.
