Erlensee announces noise protection for town hall construction
The Erlensee city administration has announced additional noise protection measures for the ongoing construction work at the town hall. This decision follows a noise protection expert report that confirmed significant noise pollution caused by the renovation.
The political group Freie Wähler Erlensee welcomed the announcement, noting that the move was driven by persistent complaints from local residents regarding noise and dirt. The group stated that they brought these concerns to the city council through a formal motion.
Despite the new measures, Freie Wähler criticized the city for failing to adequately protect public health and reduce pollution for an extended period. They have called for clarification regarding who was responsible for monitoring legal protection standards during the construction and why necessary actions were only implemented now.
