Erling Haaland and Norway football team share emotional farewell at Greensboro luxury resort

Norway’s national football team concluded a 26‑day stay at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, North Carolina, with an emotional goodbye. Hotel director Christina York said the staff “cried and I cried” as the players, including striker Erling Haaland, checked out to fly to Dallas for the World Cup round‑of‑16 match against the Ivory Coast. Assistant team manager André Flem echoed the sentiment, describing the departure as “almost an emotional farewell.”

The team will continue the tournament at the W Dallas luxury hotel. Haaland, who has scored four goals so far, will lead a largely fit squad, with only right‑back Julian Ryerson sidelined through injury. The move marks the next stage of Norway’s World Cup campaign.

The episode highlighted the close rapport between the players and the resort staff, who praised the team’s conduct and expressed gratitude for the experience.
