Erling Haaland sets Champions League record with 60 goals in 60 games

Erling Haaland has set a new record as the fastest player in UEFA Champions League history to reach 60 goals. The Manchester City striker achieved the milestone in his 60th appearance, surpassing the previous record held by Lionel Messi, who required 80 matches to reach the same tally.

Haaland reached the mark during a Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), where he scored twice. Despite his individual success, Manchester City lost the match with a final score of 2-4.

In addition to the all-time speed record, Haaland’s brace allowed him to become Manchester City’s all-time leading scorer in the Champions League, surpassing Sergio Agüero’s previous club record of 36 goals in the competition.
