Erling Haaland honors King Harald of Norway

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland and other Norwegian Premier League players wore black armbands during their matches to honor the passing of King Harald of Norway.

Haaland scored two goals in Manchester City’s 4–1 victory over Crystal Palace. Following the match, Haaland expressed his condolences on social media, stating, “Rest in peace, King Harald. Thank you for everything you have been to Norway. It was an honor to meet you,” and later added, “Norway in my heart tonight.”

Teammate Jørgen Strand Larsen also wore a mourning band and described the late monarch as a “very good man and a good king for everyone, and at the same time everyone’s grandfather.”
