Erling Haaland substitution sparks concern ahead of Manchester City fixtures

During a UEFA Nations League match, Portugal defeated Norway 2-1 at the Estádio do Dragão. Kristoffer Ajer opened the scoring for Norway in the 36th minute, but Joao Cancelo equalized for Portugal just two minutes later. Gonçalo Ramos secured the victory for Portugal with a goal in the 79th minute.

Norway striker Erling Haaland caused significant concern for Manchester City after requesting to be substituted in the 67th minute. While Haaland appeared to limp off the pitch, Norway head coach Stale Solbakken suggested the withdrawal was largely due to extreme physical fatigue following a demanding international and club schedule. Solbakken noted that Haaland is among the players facing the heaviest workloads, which has led to discussions regarding player recovery and load management.

Manchester City faces critical upcoming fixtures against Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain, making Haaland's fitness status a major point of interest for the club.
