Erling Haaland-inspired song tops Japan iTunes Dance chart as viral trend surges

The CTID track "Haaland (Ha Ha Ha)" exploded in popularity after Norway striker Erling Haaland's standout performances in the FIFA World Cup 2026. Worldwide streaming rose 9,109%, with Japan alone seeing a 53,242% increase, propelling the song to number one on Japan's iTunes Dance chart. It also entered Shazam’s overall Top 50. Universal Music’s lyric video, subtitled in Japanese, approached 400,000 combined views on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.

In Japan, the track became a social‑media sensation: Instagram Reels featured about 26,000 new videos per day using the song, accumulating roughly 7.57 million views. Several creator videos have exceeded 150 million views, and the overall trend continues to grow.
