Erling Haaland sues Norwegian Air over unauthorized use of likeness

Erling Haaland and his representatives have filed a lawsuit against Norwegian Air for the alleged unauthorized use of his likeness and trademark for advertising purposes.

The legal action follows a social media campaign by the airline during the World Cup. Norwegian Air posted an image featuring a cockpit covered in Haaland’s distinctive hair, accompanied by the caption, ‘We’ve never looked more Norwegian’.

Thomas Hagen, the lawyer representing Haaland and York Promotions Ltd., the company managing the striker's commercial rights, confirmed the filing. Norwegian Air has since removed the Instagram post in question.
