Erlon Ortega has been re-elected to lead the Associação Paulista de Supermercados (APAS) for the 2026–2028 biennium. The inauguration ceremony marked the beginning of a new management cycle, ensuring continuity of the work initiated in 2024.

The event was attended by several prominent figures, including the Governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas, and the Mayor of São Paulo, Ricardo Nunes. During his remarks, Governor de Freitas highlighted the essential role of the supermarket sector in daily life and its capacity for social solidarity during emergencies.

Moving forward, the new administration aims to focus on strategic issues such as labor relations, tax reform, ICMS-ST, employability, and the regulatory environment, while continuing to strengthen institutional representation for the food retail sector in São Paulo.
