Ermal Meta supports Albania's ‘Flamingo Revolution’ protests

Singer Ermal Meta has publicly expressed support for the ongoing land and environmental protection protests in Albania, known as the ‘Flamingo Revolution’. During the presentation of his new song, ‘Nu simu niente’, Meta addressed the audience regarding the resistance of farmers and citizens against large industrial and corporate interests.

Meta emphasized the dignity of small farmers and ordinary people facing powerful interests, stating that the land belongs to the people and cannot be bought or sold. He noted that similar land protection issues exist in Italian regions such as Puglia, Ostuni, and Sardinia. Meta joins other international Albanian figures, such as Dua Lipa, in voicing support for these movements.
