Ermedin Demirovic Confirms Stay at VfB Stuttgart Amid Champions League Ambitions

Bosnia‑Herzegovina striker Ermedin Demirovic, 28, has ruled out any move away from VfB Stuttgart, confirming his contract runs until June 2028. In interviews he said rumours of a transfer never influenced him and that he is happy with the club, the coach Sebastian Hoeneß and the team’s goals. Demirovic highlighted Stuttgart’s preparation for a demanding season in three competitions and expressed a wish to face top‑level opponents such as Arsenal or Liverpool in the Champions League. He also looks forward to a Bundesliga clash with Schalke, where he could meet fellow Bosnian captain Edin Džeko. While Stuttgart is targeting a possible signing of Dzenan Pejcinovic from Wolfsburg, the club’s sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth said the deal is still distant and Hoeneß reiterated that Demirovic remains a key player. The striker’s commitment underlines Stuttgart’s attacking options as they aim for domestic success and European qualification.
