Ernaux secures $3 million yearling breakthrough at Randwick

The $3 million yearling Ernaux secured a significant Saturday metropolitan victory at Randwick in the Toyota Forklifts Handicap (1200m). Ridden by jockey Tyler Schiller, the four-year-old filly overcame a crowded field in the straight to win by 1-3/4 lengths.

Trainer Chris Waller noted that the filly's performance improved significantly on better track conditions, stating, “Her form has been terrible on wet tracks. As soon as she had a better track last start, and again today, she’s a different horse.”

Ernaux is owned by a group including Resolute Racing and Coolmore. The win provides confidence regarding her future, potentially extending her racing career or influencing future breeding decisions.
