Erness disqualified from Amici 26 talent show

Erness has been disqualified from the talent show Amici 26 following revelations regarding the originality of his musical compositions. The decision follows an initial one-week suspension imposed by artistic director Samurai Jay after it was discovered that the contestant's song ‘Colpa mia’ bore similarities to existing works by Rusherking and María Becerra.

Subsequent investigations into Erness's repertoire revealed further irregularities, with many of the tracks presented during auditions identified as plagiarized or adaptations of well-known songs rather than original works. Although the contestant was initially given a week to work with professionals to produce a new original song, the resulting track failed to meet the required standards.

The final decision to disqualify Erness was reached with the consensus of the artistic directors, including Lorella Cuccarini and Amadeus, who reportedly viewed the behavior as unacceptable and disrespectful to fellow contestants who had provided original material.
