Ernest Harden Jr. wins Emmy for role in ‘The Pitt’

Ernest Harden Jr. won the Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series award at the 2026 Creative Arts Emmy Awards for his role in the HBO Max medical drama ‘The Pitt’. The 73-year-old actor portrayed Louie Cloverfield, a frequent patient in the show’s emergency room.

Harden, a veteran character actor with a career spanning since 1974, expressed his shock at the win, stating, “I am on cloud 25.” He dedicated the award to the late Bette Davis, who had previously cast him in a 1980 television movie.

In addition to Harden’s win, ‘The Pitt’ secured Emmy awards for casting and prosthetic makeup. The ceremony took place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
