Ernest Nuamah returns to form for Olympique Lyonnais

Ernest Nuamah, the Ghanaian winger for Olympique Lyonnais, has successfully returned to competitive football following a severe knee injury that sidelined him for over a year. After sustaining the injury in April 2025, the 22-year-old has regained his form, scoring four goals so far this season.

Nuamah expressed that he has moved past the psychological difficulties of his recovery, stating, “For me, the injury is over now. I want to focus on the season.” He credited his family and friends for providing essential support during his rehabilitation process.

Looking ahead to upcoming fixtures, including a match against Lens, Nuamah emphasized the importance of team unity. Despite the club's failure to qualify for the Champions League, he noted that the squad is now fully focused on competing in Ligue 1.
