Ernest Tubb Record Shop implements new audio system in Nashville

The Ernest Tubb Record Shop on Lower Broadway in Nashville has undergone a comprehensive audiovisual upgrade. The project, managed by integrator Black Box AVS, involved installing a new sound system featuring Yamaha CZR-series loudspeakers as the primary system, supplemented by NEXO ePS-series full-range speakers.

Due to the venue's architectural challenges—a long, narrow layout with exposed brick walls and wooden floors that prevented heavy acoustic treatment—the technical team utilized targeted coverage, delay zones, and precise tuning to ensure consistent sound pressure levels. The goal was to maintain high fidelity for various musical nuances, from steel guitars to upright basses.

Beyond the audio installation, Black Box AVS implemented a complete technology ecosystem. This includes the venue's technical infrastructure, such as network connectivity, Wi-Fi, centralized control systems, equipment racks, and integrated lighting control.
