Ernesto Sanz criticizes Milei reelection narrative and political polarization

Former Radical senator Ernesto Sanz has criticized the current political landscape in Argentina, specifically addressing the discourse surrounding President Javier Milei’s potential reelection in 2027. Sanz characterized the prospect of Milei’s reelection not as a certainty, but as a narrative constructed by the government.

Sanz expressed concern regarding the polarization between the Milei administration and Peronism, arguing that this divide hinders the development of viable political alternatives. He also called on Peronism to present a clear and explicit proposal for the country, suggesting that a lack of direction from the opposition is a serious issue.

Furthermore, the former senator warned of a weakening of democratic institutions and a loss of public trust, particularly among younger citizens, due to a political logic he described as “liquid” and “gelatinous.” He emphasized the importance of political parties with internal controls and comprehensive visions over political outsiders.
