Errol Spence Jr. to Face Tim Tszyu in Sydney Comeback Bout

Former unified welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. is ending a three‑year hiatus to fight Australian super‑welterweight contender Tim Tszyu on July 26 at the Afterpay Arena in Sydney Olympic Park. Spence, who last fought in 2023 when he lost to Terence Crawford, will move up to the 154‑lb division to challenge Tszyu, the former WBO super‑welterweight champion who has been rebuilding after a series of defeats.

Tszyu, now 31, has partnered with Australian boxing legend Jeff Fenech, who says his priority has been getting the boxer "mentally right" after a turbulent period that saw him lose his titles and change trainers. The event also features a co‑main bout between Australian super‑welterweight champion Koen Mazoudier and undefeated Jermall Charlo, as well as appearances by Olympians Paulo Aokuso and Paul Fleming.
