Erste Bank and UniCredit Bank face digital service disruptions
Customers of Erste Bank in Poland and UniCredit Bank in the Czech Republic have experienced disruptions to their digital banking services.
In Poland, Erste Bank users reported issues accessing the mobile application and online banking services on the evening of Monday, October 5. Error messages indicated the application was unavailable. Reports from Downdetector suggested that service availability began returning to normal by late evening.
In the Czech Republic, UniCredit Bank customers faced service interruptions due to a planned maintenance window that exceeded its scheduled timeframe. While the outage was intended to occur between 3:00 AM and 9:00 AM, services were not fully restored until 9:30 AM. Customers expressed frustration regarding the lack of advance notification within the mobile app, prompting the bank to promise improvements in how service interruptions are communicated to mobile users.
