Erste Group reports strong Q3 2026 financial results

Erste Group has reported robust financial performance for the third quarter of 2026, driven by strong net interest income and disciplined cost management. Projections suggest net profit could exceed 1 billion EUR, representing a year-on-year increase of approximately 21 percent. This growth is significantly influenced by the full consolidation of Erste Bank Polska.

In Poland, Erste Bank Polska reported a net profit of 3.7 billion PLN for the first three quarters of 2026, with total income reaching 12.1 billion PLN. The Polish subsidiary noted record mortgage sales and a 30 percent year-on-year increase in cash loan dynamics. The group maintains a strong capital position, with a Tier 1 ratio of 18.53 percent in the Polish operations.

Other regional performance highlights include Erste Bank in Croatia, which reported a net profit of 310 million EUR for the first nine months, a 55 percent increase compared to the previous year. This surge was partly attributed to the sale of Erste Card Club to Global Payments. Overall, the group continues to see growth in both household and corporate lending across its markets.
