ERT announces new directors for television and radio

The Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT) has appointed new General Directors for its television and radio divisions following a competitive selection process and a unanimous decision by its Board of Directors.

Dimitris Trechas has been named General Director of Television. He brings over 25 years of media experience, with a focus on strategic planning and digital transformation. Trechas previously served as the director of ERT World, where he worked on the international distribution of content, the development of an international version of ERTFLIX, and enhancing digital presence for the Greek diaspora.

Tassos Rosopoulos has been appointed General Director of Radio. A composer of classical music, Rosopoulos has extensive experience within ERT, having held various leadership roles including head of the Third Programme sub-directorate and director of Musical Ensembles. His background includes composing for orchestras, opera, and cinema, as well as serving as a curator for the National Lyric Theatre’s educational programs.
