ERT announces new period drama series ‘Thalasses mas chorisan’

ERT is launching a new eight-episode period mini-series titled ‘Thalasses mas chorisan’ (Our Seas Separated), based on the novel by Ifigeneia Tekou. Written by Sofia Sotiriou and directed by Christos Dimas, the production blends family drama with historical events of the 20th century.

The story begins in 1937 in Italian-occupied Symi, following the Georgia family. After the tragic death of the family's young son, the family undergoes a period of displacement, eventually moving from Symi to Constantinople and Alexandria. The narrative explores themes of loss and uprooting, focusing on two sisters, Paraskevi and Elpida, whose relationship becomes strained due to the arrival of a charismatic man named Pavlos in Constantinople.

The cast includes Katerina Lechou, Leonidas Kakouris, Giannis Koukourakis, Nefeli Kouri, Athina Libantsi, Dimitra Matsouka, Vangelis Stratigakos, and Smaragda Smyrnaiou.
