ERT premieres new drama series ‘Koutsoupies’

The new ERT series ‘Koutsoupies’ is set to premiere on Monday, October 5, at 19:00. The drama centers on the picturesque village of Koutsoupies, which faces the threat of depopulation and the potential closure of its school.

To combat this, the village president, Vlassis, launches an online campaign to attract new residents. This initiative brings several families from Athens to the village, including Makis, a single father balancing work and family; Elpida, a single mother dealing with her son’s school bullying; and Polina and Kyriakos, who are facing housing instability due to debt.

The arrival of these new inhabitants creates tension and division within the community. While Vlassis prepares a celebratory welcome, local resident Rina attempts to drive the newcomers away. The series explores the gap between the advertised charm of the village and its actual reality, alongside themes of suspicion and local conflict.
