ERT showcases digital broadcasting upgrades at Thessaloniki Fair

ERT showcased its digital transformation at the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair on September 5, 2026. The public broadcaster highlighted recent upgrades to its television and radio broadcasting networks across Greece, alongside the modernization of its digital platforms.

Key developments presented include the expansion of DAB+ digital radio, which now covers 78% of Greek territory. This technology provides high-quality audio, stable reception during movement, and the ability to transmit digital information. Additionally, the broadcaster emphasized the evolution of ERTFLIX, its digital streaming platform, which now features enhanced viewing experiences, offline content storage for mobile devices, and parental controls.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited the ERT booth, where he was briefed by ERT President Giannis Papadopoulos and CEO Kostas Papavasileiou on the company’s recent technological advancements and digital service implementations.
