ERT to launch satirical comedy series ‘TV Land’

ERT is preparing to launch a new comedy series titled ‘TV Land’ on ERT1, scheduled to premiere in September. The series uses satire to explore the chaotic behind-the-scenes environment of television production, focusing on the professional rivalries, personal ambitions, and daily struggles of presenters, producers, and staff.

The cast features Kostas Apostolakis, Ioannis Papazisis, Amalia Kavalla, Sylvia Delikoura, and Sanny Hatziargyri. The script is written by Giorgos Feidas, based on an original idea by Feidas and Frosy Ralli, with direction by Alexandros Rellos.

Separately, the Greek media landscape is facing internal challenges at ERT, including delays in hiring processes for television and radio positions and controversies regarding how certain staff members secure programming through mixed production models.
