ERTFLIX launches August 'Crime and Punishment' documentary series

Greek public broadcaster ERTFLIX will devote the entire month of August (1‑31) to a special programming block titled “Crime and Punishment.” The series presents true‑crime documentaries that examine cases that have impacted politics, society, culture and sport. Highlights include "Pleiades: Victims of a Serial Killer," which revisits the 2019 serial‑killer case in Cyprus known as “Orestis,” and "11 Shots," which looks at the darker side of football, such as murders, kidnappings and blackmail. Another feature, "The Man Who Stole the Scream," recounts the 1994 theft of Edvard Munch’s painting *The Scream* from Norway during the Winter Olympics and the ensuing police chase. The documentaries incorporate interviews with rescue personnel, investigators, journalists, psychologists, anthropologists, lawyers and minority‑group representatives. Direction and research are credited to Andreas Seitanis, with contributions from Parisis Prokopios, Mihalis Terzis and others.
