Ertuğrul Tetik to serve as independent Mayor of Nazilli
Ertuğrul Tetik, the Mayor of Nazilli, has decided to continue his tenure as an independent official after resigning from the Republican People's Party (CHP). Following this decision, Tetik met with municipal department managers to establish a roadmap for his upcoming term.

The shift to an independent mayorship follows the March 31, 2024, local elections, where Tetik won with 48.72 percent of the vote, defeating AK Party candidate Esat Ergüler, who received 33.42 percent. In response to Tetik's departure from the party, the CHP Nazilli organization is expected to undergo a restructuring process to strengthen its local presence and develop new cadres.
