Ervin Demo announces zero tolerance for school safety risks in Albania
Albanian Minister of Internal Affairs Ervin Demo has announced a zero-tolerance policy regarding risks to student safety. Speaking at a meeting in Kamëz Municipality regarding the School Safety Package, Demo emphasized that the security of students is non-negotiable.
The initiative aims to provide “360-degree protection” for children, covering school environments, surrounding perimeters, food safety, and physical well-being. The strategy focuses on prevention rather than just reacting to incidents, requiring coordinated communication between security officers, psychologists, teachers, police, and parents.
The meeting included several high-ranking officials, including the Minister of Education, the Minister of Health and Social Welfare, and the Minister of Agriculture. The State Police is currently implementing concrete measures to support the package, specifically focusing on security near educational institutions across the country.
