Ervin Demo assumes role as Albania's Minister of Internal Affairs

Ervin Demo has officially assumed the role of Minister of Internal Affairs in Albania following a swearing-in ceremony at the President's office. The transition follows an announcement by Prime Minister Edi Rama regarding a leadership change within the ministry.

Outgoing Minister Besfort Lamallari, who served in the position for nine years, handed over the mandate to Demo. Lamallari is expected to work alongside the Prime Minister within the Prime Minister's office.

Deputy Prime Minister Albana Koçiu attended the ceremony, expressing confidence that Demo's experience will advance reforms, enhance security, and improve public services. She noted that while the leadership is changing, the vision remains focused on creating a more secure and European Albania.
