Ervin Hatibi releases poem regarding youth protests in Tirana

Poet Ervin Hatibi has released a new poem titled “Ervin Hatibi, turn this protest into poetry” in response to recent youth protests in Tirana. Hatibi, who was a prominent voice during the democratic movements in Albania in the 1990s, uses his work to reflect on the current unrest.

The poem avoids direct political slogans, instead utilizing metaphorical language to describe the physical and emotional toll of the demonstrations. It references imagery of wounded bodies, blood on asphalt, and the struggle for liberty and dignity in contemporary Albania.
