Ervin Mahmuti transfer to PAOK collapses

The potential transfer of 21-year-old Bosnian midfielder Ervin Mahmuti to PAOK has collapsed. Despite significant interest from the Greek club, the deal did not proceed following PAOK's early exit from European competitions.

Reports from Czech media indicate that Mahmuti's decision was influenced by the club's lack of European football, a situation mirrored in Celtic's failed attempt to sign him after their own Champions League playoff exit.

Mahmuti, who currently plays for Slovan Liberec, is now expected to move to Turkey to join Çorum FK. The deal is reportedly worth approximately five million euros to the Czech club, plus performance bonuses and a sell-on clause. The player is expected to undergo medical examinations to finalize a four-year contract.
