Erzgebirge appoints three new regional ambassadors

Three prominent figures from the fields of business, politics, and culture have been officially appointed as new ambassadors for the Erzgebirge region. The appointment took place during the 12th Entrepreneur Evening, held as part of the ‘Summer Lounge der Wirtschaft’ at the Zwönitz brewery.

District Administrator Rico Anton presented the honors to entrepreneur Mandy Haase of EMES Holding GmbH, Mayor Volkmar Viehweg of Stützengrün, and tenor Richard Glöckner of the Eduard-von-Winterstein Theater. The initiative, managed by Regionalmanagement Erzgebirge, aims to recognize individuals who actively shape their home region and represent it beyond its borders, promoting the area as a modern and attractive location for living and business.

Since its inception in 2010, the ambassador network has grown to include 150 active members. The new appointees reflect the diversity of the region, ranging from cultural influence and municipal leadership to economic responsibility and regional value creation.
